Adventure expedition "Far East - Land of Adventures" commences its third installment.
New and Exciting Travel Adventure Competition Kicks Off!
Brace yourselves, intrepid explorers! The III All-Russian "Far East - Land of Adventures" competition is officially open for applications, starting May 1, 2025. Initiated by Yuri Trutnev, Russia's Deputy Chairman of the Government and Presidential Envoy to the Far East, this exciting competition is a celebration of Russia's unique natural wonders and the spirit of adventure.
"The 'Far East - Land of Adventures' competition has swiftly garnered a dedicated following," said Yuri Trutnev. In the competition's second season, applications skyrocketed threefold compared to the inaugural year. "I anticipate the enthusiasm of participants to keep growing, as an ever-increasing number of Russians are embracing domestic travel. It's challenging to find a destination more breathtaking than the Far East," he added.
Whether you're an experienced adventurer or a curious novice, this competition invites both seasoned travelers and young explorers from the age of 10 and up (under adult supervision) to share their extraordinary journeys through the Far East and the Arctic.
To participate, submission of a short film (up to 8 minutes long) detailing your adventure is required by January 15, 2026, via the сайт путешественникдв.рф (puteshestvnikdv.ru).
The competition is divided into several categories: hiking, water, winter, and a fresh addition - Arctic travel, with a diverse range of activities available to choose from. Participants can pick and choose their preferred transportation, as long as motorized vehicles are not used.
The grand prize for the best video showcasing active travel in the Far East or Arctic is an impressive 3 million rubles. Winners in each category could take home 1 million rubles, while second place winners earn 300,000 rubles, and third place competitors receive 100,000 rubles each. The entries will be evaluated by a jury consisting of tourism and media experts.
Your expedition must have been completed anywhere between May 1, 2023, and January 15, 2026. One innovation from this year's competition is the extended deadline for applications, which last year ended on December 31. For trips involving remote or risky terrains, mandatory notification to the EMERCOM of the route is mandatory.
The "Far East - Land of Adventures" competition is powered by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, JSC "Corporation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic," and the NGO "Foundation for the Development of Social Initiatives."
