The Kreßmann Family's Ten-Year Love Affair with Beilngries

Beilngries, a picturesque town nestled in the Altmühltal Valley of Germany, has become a cherished vacation spot for the Kreßmann family from Marl. Over the past decade, the family has made repeated trips to the town, drawn by its harmonious blend of nature, tradition, and modern comfort.

Eleven years ago, Detlev Kreßmann stumbled upon Beilngries during a random map selection. Since then, the town has captured his heart, and he has shared this affection with his family. Detlev's excitement was palpable after a phone call with Christiane Plank about their holiday apartment in Beilngries.

The Kreßmann family, including Detlev's wife Heike, their daughter Stephanie and son Sebastian Klamm, and their four-year-old granddaughter Lina, have visited Beilngries three times. They have stayed in the warm and welcoming holiday apartment of the Plank family during their visits.

Heike and Detlev have expressed their feelings of being at home in Beilngries, a sentiment echoed by the town's tourism chief, Henrik Ruf. Ruf has expressed hope that the Kreßmann family will return to Beilngries and the Altmühltal for many more vacations.

The Kreßmann family's love for Beilngries is not solely based on the warm hospitality they receive from the Planks. The town offers a myriad of attractions that make it an ideal retreat for rest and nature enjoyment. The Altmühltal Valley and nearby Alpine foothills provide scenic relaxation opportunities, with sparkling lakes, quiet forests, and panoramic mountain views.

The proximity to varied hiking routes through these areas is another attractive feature for the Kreßmann family. Additionally, the opportunity to explore nearby cultural and historical sites, such as monasteries and castles, enhances the vacation experience.

The warm relationship between the Kreßmanns and the Planks, the cozy holiday apartment, and the friendly locals are factors that make Beilngries appealing to Heike and Detlev. In recognition of their loyalty, the Planks presented the Kreßmann family with a special whiskey bottle, as old as the ten years they have been visiting.

Recently, the Plank family organised a coffee afternoon for Heike, Detlev, and Henrik Ruf, the tourism chief, to express their gratitude for the Kreßmann family's continued support. The Kreßmanns have promised to continue visiting Beilngries until their granddaughter Lina gets married.

Detlev even joked about learning to tell time differently in Beilngries, compared to the Ruhr area. Despite the joke, it is clear that Beilngries has left a lasting impression on the Kreßmann family, and they look forward to many more vacations in this charming town.

During their repeated visits to Beilngries, the Kreßmann family has discovered a lifestyle that seamlessly blends tradition with modern comfort, making it their preferred home-and-garden away from home. Moreover, the family's journeys to Beilngries have expanded beyond the town's borders, with travel to nearby lakes, forests, and cultural sites broadening their vacation experiences.
