Carpe Diem Art Festival in Gelendzhik: Free, Diverse Events Explore Time and Spontaneity
The art festival 'Carpe diem. Seize the moment' is underway in Gelendzhik from October 6 to 12. The event, which is free to attend, explores themes of temporality, spontaneity, planning, and monumentality in art.
The festival features exhibitions, master classes, lectures, performances, and walks. Kicking off on October 6, a collective mosaic will be created and an exhibition of collage works will open. On October 7, master classes by Elena Kolesnikova and a meeting with festival participants will take place. The commemorative exhibition of Valery Blokhin in Krasnodar is organised by the Krasnodar Regional Art Museum.
On October 8, master classes by Maria Pivnenko and Katya Ganyushina, along with a group walk and mosaic installation, are scheduled. The festival will also host a walk and forest therapy session, and a 'Lechin Coffeehouse' event on October 10. On October 11, an exhibition opening, performances, and a musical performance by Anastasia Sheveleva are planned.
The festival boasts an impressive lineup of artists, including Yana Vasilyeva, Alfiya Shamutdinova, Alisa Asatryan, and more. With a diverse range of events and free admission, 'Carpe diem. Seize the moment' promises a vibrant and inclusive celebration of art.
