City's fresh library initiative

The Gießen City Library has announced an exciting lineup of events for the upcoming season, from September to December. Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect.

Starting off, crime enthusiasts can look forward to three events in the programme. On October 24, Sacha Gutzeit's children's crime series "The City-Country-Fluss Detectives - The Night of the Phantom" will be celebrated as part of the "Day of Libraries". On October 30, Magdalena Parys' thriller "The Magician" will be presented in the city council chamber. Erwin Müller's true-crime novel "Death Transit - The Murder Case of Stippbach Valley" will be presented on November 20.

Music lovers, too, have reasons to be excited. Tess Wiley, a Texan singer-songwriter, will perform a musical evening at the city library on November 6. Tess Wiley's latest release, "Femme Sole", is a powerful EP by a mature, independent, and versatile musician. During Tess's performance, her guitarist, Tim Potzas, will play pedal steel and resonator guitar, promising an unforgettable evening.

For those who enjoy a good game night, there will be fun game evenings with board and party games on September 26 and November 7.

The event series "Friday.Four" will feature an insight into Ukrainian art craft on October 10 under the title "Cultural Suitcase - Ukraine". The "Literature Thirst Meets Travel Lust" series will feature Hannah Hulsmann and Henrik Röttgers of "Generation World" on September 18.

For the little ones, the "StoryTime Fun!" event takes place twice a month. Registration is required for some events, and the venue for all events is the city library of Gießen, unless otherwise communicated. Admission is free for all events, unless otherwise communicated.

The programme includes proven and well-attended formats, as well as new events on various themes. Tickets for the Crime Festival in Gießen will be available from September 14 for the event with Sacha Gutzeit. Within the VHS course "Reading Circle on Coffee and Tea: Glimpses through Literature - Modern Romances Interpreted", the joint exchange of various romances is the focus at four sessions.

Don't miss out on these exciting events at the Gießen City Library! Remember, the library is more than just books - it's a hub for culture, learning, and community.
