Croatia Airlines Reducing Selected Ticket Fees Due to User Complaints
Friday, April 10th, 2025 - Croatia Airlines Makes a Big Move:
In a much-anticipated decision that's been years in the making, Croatia Airlines is shaking things up by slashing ticket prices and christening a new aircraft "Dubrovnik." Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, is scheduled to receive this wind-resistant beauty by autumn.
During a recent meeting in Zagreb, Dubrovnik's Mayor Mato Franković, Dubrovnik-Neretva County Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić, and the management of Croatia Airlines, in the presence of representatives from the County, City, and Airport, reached an agreement. The latest development promises an allocation of airline tickets for Dubrovnik-Neretva County residents at incredibly discounted rates, and a later afternoon flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik by the autumn.
The County, City, and Airport have expressed dissatisfaction with Croatia Airlines’ high ticket prices for flights between Dubrovnik and Zagreb for far too long. Their complaints are valid considering Ryanair’s rock-bottom prices for a flight from Dubrovnik to Vienna at just 18 euros, while Croatia Airlines charges over a hundred euros for the same route. This disparity has been a constant source of rage, especially among Croatian travelers—not to mention the fact that Croatia Airlines pays airport taxes almost equal to Ryanair’s, according to reports.
The pressure mounted, and it seems Croatia Airlines finally has decided to respond. Going forward, Dubrovnik residents can breathe a sigh of relief as lower ticket prices are on the horizon, according to Franković's social media post.
