Despite the setback due to Storm Floris, the roller coaster enthusiast aims to set a record for the most roller coasters completed in a single day.
In a daring attempt to break his own world record, British thrill-seeker Dean Stokes is embarking on a mission to ride more roller coasters than ever before. The record, which Stokes himself set just a year ago, stands at an impressive 55 roller coasters ridden in a single week.
Stokes, aged 36, is currently attempting to ride every roller coaster in the UK in less than two weeks. This ambitious challenge was initially disrupted due to Storm Floris, which forced the closure of several theme parks and limited the number of rides Stokes could complete. However, despite the setbacks, Stokes remains undeterred.
The current world record, verified by Guinness World Records, was set by Stokes in August 2025. Recognized by ride operators across the country, Stokes's pursuit of this record has garnered significant attention on social media. In fact, during his journey, Stokes has been joined by a follower named Jack and his family in Hastings, East Sussex, for his first ride.
Stokes's endeavour is not just a solo venture; he is accompanied by his friend and former colleague, Simon Fasolo, aged 44. The duo is documenting their adventure on TikTok, encouraging others to follow their passions and not worry about what others think. Stokes maintains that being confident to pursue what one loves is important.
In a surprising turn of events, Guinness World Records has expressed potential interest in setting a new world record with Stokes. Despite the disruption caused by Storm Floris, the organisation has reached out to Stokes, hinting at a possible collaboration.
As Stokes builds a crowd for his final park, Thorpe Park, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to break his own record. With his unwavering spirit and determination, it's clear that Stokes is not one to back down from a challenge.
