The festival, now in its 114th year, is a true community tradition, according to Barb Pump, executive director of the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. It transforms the entire village into an art and craft exhibition, spanning four city blocks and featuring over 200 vendors. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including live music, culinary experiences, and carnival-style food trucks.
One of the festival's highlights is the horse-drawn carriage rides up Holiday Valley to the mountain's summit. Here, visitors can marvel at the stunning fall foliage, a sight unique to this time of year. After the festival, visitors can continue the fall spirit at Pumpkinville in Great Valley, where they can enjoy a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and children's activities.
