Emirates Amplifies Premium Economy Offerings in Manchester and Milan through Enhancements on A380 Flights
Emirates Expands Premium Economy A380 Service to Three New Destinations
Emirates is enhancing its premium travel offerings by introducing its retrofitted Airbus A380 aircraft, featuring the Premium Economy cabin, to Manchester and Milan this summer. The new destinations served by Emirates' Premium Economy on A380 include Singapore, Shanghai, and Zurich.
The enhanced A380 will operate on flights EK017/018 to Manchester starting from 6 June, and on flights EK091/092 to Milan from 1 July. The Premium Economy cabin features 56 spacious seats in a 2-4-2 layout, offering ample legroom, in-seat charging, and side cocktail tables.
Passengers travelling from Manchester and Milan will have seamless access to Emirates' four-class A380 experience on long-haul journeys to key cities across Asia and Australasia, including Sydney, Singapore, Osaka, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Emirates will boost its UK Premium Economy offering to nearly 5,000 weekly seats with this launch.
The Premium Economy cabin on the retrofitted Airbus A380 complements the four-class A380 experience on long-haul journeys. Thoughtfully curated in-flight amenities are provided for passengers in the Premium Economy cabin, including an exclusive beverage selection featuring Chandon Vintage Brut 2016.
Emirates' investment in premium in-flight offerings and customer comfort is reinforced with these new A380 additions. Bookings for flights featuring the Premium Economy cabin are now open and can be made via emirates.com, the Emirates App, retail outlets, and travel agencies.
In addition to these new destinations, Emirates continues to optimize A380 routes including hubs like Milan, Rio, and Buenos Aires with retrofitted aircraft and expanded Premium Economy service. Milan will be Emirates' second Italian destination to feature the upgraded A380 experience, following the A350 service to Bologna later in June.
The airline already operates four daily retrofitted A380s between Dubai and London Heathrow, an A350 service to Edinburgh, and a soon-to-debut refurbished Boeing 777 on the London Stansted route. The Singapore route will receive its A380 upgrade this winter, while Zurich's second daily flight will switch to A380 from February 2026.
While Emirates began Premium Economy A380 service earlier (for example, to Christchurch as an extension of the Dubai-Sydney route from March 2023), the key new A380 Premium Economy deployments and service expansions for summer 2025 and the coming winter period are focused on Singapore, Shanghai, and Zurich. No additional new A380 Premium Economy destinations were explicitly announced for summer 2025 in the provided search results, but Emirates continues to add frequencies and optimize A380 routes.
Investment in premium travel offerings by Emirates includes the introduction of Premium Economy cabin on retrofitted Airbus A380 aircraft, enhancing lifestyle choices for passengers traveling to Singapore, Shanghai, and Zurich, in addition to Manchester and Milan, this summer. Emirates' Premium Economy A380 travel experience offers ample legroom, in-seat charging, and a thoughtfully curated beverage selection, making it an attractive option for those seeking a comfortable and upgraded travel experience.
