Euskirchen's Day of Open Heritage Draws 1200 Visitors
A classical concert marked the end of a day filled with heritage appreciation in Euskirchen. The city's Day of Open Heritage event attracted around 1200 visitors who explored its rich history and culture.
The day began with railway enthusiasts admiring the Prussian locomotive shed and 'Sugar Susi'. Children delighted in climbing onto locomotives and playing on equipment.
Visitors participated in tours of the historic cemetery, learning about 'War and Peace' and 'War Graves Maintenance'. The 'roof worm' static construction in the locomotive hall was also explained. The 'culture and support association CASINO e.V.' shared its work with attendees.
The 'Café Paradise' and 'CASINO' were open, offering insights into restorations and exhibits. Visitors could enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the evangelical church tower.
