Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Reserve Business Cards Return with a Touch of Aviation History

American Express and Delta Air Lines have re-released the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Card and the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business Card, incorporating metal from retired Boeing 747 planes. The special edition cards, available from April 25 to June 5, 2024, are more than just payment methods—they are collector's items that combine travel benefits with a touch of aviation history.

These cards offer a head start on achieving higher status tiers and enable cardholders to earn miles faster with accelerators on these cards. They are particularly beneficial for frequent travelers, including small business owners, making both business trips and personal journeys more rewarding.

The re-release of these cards is due to popular demand in 2022. The cards are produced in twice the quantity as last year, with 33% metal from two Delta 747 planes retired in 2017, named 'Delta Ship 6301' and 'Delta Ship 6305'.

The Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Reserve Business Cards provide yearly enhanced Companion Certificates, offering exclusive access to reservations through Global Dining Access by Resy. The cards have a glossy white finish and detail the plane's service history, including first and last flights, tail number, and total miles flown.

Prashant Sharma, V.P. of Loyalty at Delta Air Lines, commented on the significance of the card, linking it to Delta's emphasis on customer experience and innovation. Jon Gantman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cobrand Product Management at American Express, expressed enthusiasm about the re-release.
