Extended New Year's Celebration Spans Four Days
The city of Neuwied is set to host the Deichstadtfest in 2025, promising a four-day extravaganza of music, dance, and entertainment from July 10th to July 13th. This year's festival will feature a diverse lineup across five stages, showcasing a broad range of musical genres including rock, pop, indie, schlager, and reggae.
Highlights of the music program include the Linkin Park tribute band "From Zero" with their energetic performances, the emotional songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Batomae, and the celebrated cover band Kontrollverlust, who will be performing a nostalgic 90s set.
On Thursday, July 10th, the festival will kick off with a variety of genres from Kölsch to Schlager to Soul and Rock. KISS FOREVER BAND will take the Stage 3 at 9:00 PM, while Impuls Dance Studio will perform a dance program on Stage 3 at 8:00 PM. De Knocheläcker will perform on Stage 1 at 7:00 PM, and Kontrollverlust will take the Stage 2 at the same time.
On Saturday and Sunday, there's a special program for children and families featuring dance schools and "The Kids' Band". Colour The Sky (Acoustic-Rock) will perform on Stage 4 on Sunday, July 13th, and TSC Neuwied (LaBlast Dance Fitness) will perform on Stage 3 on the same day.
The schedule for Saturday, July 12th, includes Deine Kinderband (Interactive Concert) and Teddy & Band (Udo Jürgens Tribute) on Stage 1 at 3:00 PM, followed by NonPlusX (Rock Classics to Dance and NWD) at 8:00 PM. On Stage 2, Kontrollverlust will perform at 7:00 PM, and Riddim Posse (Reggae, Soca and Calypso) will take the stage at 8:00 PM. TreZZmeN (Country, Classics, Rock'n'Roll) will perform on an unspecified stage, and Herbstwind (Indie-Pop) will take Stage 3 at 8:00 PM.
The festivities continue late into the night, with Matthias Münch (Rock & Pop Hits with Acoustic Guitar) performing on Europadorf at 8:00 PM on an unspecified day. GoldKaz will perform on Europadorf at 7:00 PM on the same day. The BuzzDriverZ (Cover Rock-Pop-Wave) will perform on Europadorf on Sunday, July 13th, and HP - The Voice of Elvis (Tribute Singer) will take the stage on Europadorf on an unspecified day.
Visitors can enjoy a free music program on five stages, as well as culinary offerings every day, a weekend framework program with dance actions, face painting, and creative interactive activities. Due to ongoing construction on the Luisenplatz, the festival area will be slightly shifted towards Luisenstraße, but this change does not affect the festival's overall experience.
