Global Gathering of Nearly 55,000 Individuals Expected at ATM in 2025, Representing Various Regions Across the Globe
The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 is set to be a significant event in the global travel industry, taking place next week from 28 April to 1 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year's event, with the theme "Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow's Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity", promises to attract over 55,000 attendees from around the world, showcasing over 2,800 exhibiting companies.
One of the key additions to this year's event is the introduction of the Business Events Stage, where industry experts will outline strategies for growth in business events and corporate travel. Another highlight is the new Start-Up and Innovation zone, which will showcase the next wave of travel pioneers and feature an immersive VR experience.
The Asia-Pacific region is expected to play a significant role in the event, as a key driver of the world’s tourism growth. International travel spending in the APAC region is forecasted to reach US$2.5 trillion by 2029, with domestic travel expected to climb to US$4.3 trillion. This rise is marked by strong economic growth, increased digital adoption in travel bookings, and a surge in intra-regional and outbound travel, particularly from major markets like China.
The event stresses the role of technology, including digital tools, social media, and AI, in shaping travel decision-making and booking behaviors, especially in APAC. Sustainability remains a critical focus, with calls for aligning tourism investments with community needs to promote resilient and responsible tourism development.
IBTM@ATM, a specialized zone for business events suppliers, will also be featured at ATM 2025. This platform aims to drive innovation, investment, and partnerships among industry leaders. Across three main stages - the Global Stage, Future Stage, and Business Events stage - ATM 2025 will have over 200 high-profile speakers across more than 70 conference sessions, covering topics including the future of aviation, hospitality trends, climate action initiatives, and the adoption of artificial intelligence across the industry.
