IHG Brings Luxury InterContinental to Dallas in 2022
IHG has announced plans to open a new luxury InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in Dallas. The hotel, a Dallas Cowboys-themed property, will be situated in the Cityplace Tower, within the Uptown neighborhood. Joel Eisemann, Chief Development Officer, Americas, IHG, expressed excitement about bringing the InterContinental brand back to Dallas.
The hotel, set to open in early 2022, will feature 223 rooms, along with a restaurant, bar, lounge, outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, and the Club InterContinental Lounge. Invesco Real Estate will oversee the redesign and operation of the hotel. NexPoint plans to renovate the lobby, introduce concourse-level food and retail offerings, and build a new Planet Fitness as part of the overall building renovation. The hotel will boast abundant meeting space with stunning city views and a redesigned main entrance.
This Dallas Cowboys-themed addition to Dallas's luxury hospitality scene follows recent openings of InterContinental hotels in Washington DC, Houston, Minneapolis, and San Diego. James Dondero, Co-founder and President, Highland Capital Management, is thrilled about partnering with IHG for this news-making project.
