Initial stage performance of the new theatre season at Heinz-Hilpert Theater
The cultural scene in Lünen is set to be enlivened with the introduction of a new event series, the "Theater Meetup". This unique experience will take place before the premiere of the play "Black Comedy - Comedy in the Dark", on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:30 PM, at the Heinz Hilpert Theater.
The main character of this intriguing play is a young and struggling artist named Brindsley. In an attempt to impress his visitors, Brindsley borrows furniture from his absent neighbour, Harold. However, chaos ensues during the visit due to a power outage, bringing various characters such as Brindsley's unregistered ex-girlfriend, neighbour, technician, Carol's father, and the art collector into the scene.
The "Theater Meetup" is designed to break down barriers and offer a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees can enjoy coffee and cake in the Lünen Hansesaal, while artists involved in the event will be present to introduce themselves and answer questions about the piece. Each "Theater Meetup" will last for one and a half hours before the performance.
Registrations for the "Theater Meetup" can be made by phone for Lünen and Selm, or online through the culture office's webshop. Tickets for the event range from 7.50 to 13 € (reduced) and 15 to 26 € (full price). The box office for the "Theater Meetup" opens one hour before the start of the event.
