Between the pent-up spirits of jetlag and delirium, they found themselves awake most of the night, absurdly discussing the monstrous academic job market (spoiler alert: it sucked). Add a dash of sleep deprivation and a smidge of frustration, and voilà! "We should have our own school" echoed through the wee hours of the morning.
