Starting January 1, 2026, the city and district of Landshut will merge Landshut Hospital, LAKUMED Kliniken, and St. Marien Children's Hospital into a new joint municipal company, LA-Regio Kliniken. The new entity aims to create clear orientation for patients, employees, and news outlets while offering positive prospects for all involved.

The new LA-Regio Kliniken will consist of six facilities: Landshut Mitte Hospital, Landshut Achdorf Hospital, St. Marien Children's Clinic, Vilsbiburg Clinic, Schlossklinik Rottenburg, and Vilsbiburg Hospice. The clinics will serve the city and Landshut district, providing medical, nursing, and therapeutic care.

The new common name, LA-Regio Kliniken, is accompanied by a soft green visual identity, symbolizing positivity, hope, and confidence in the future of news in the region. The logo, designed to resemble a heart, reflects the common vision and determination of all involved, while also incorporating the grown structures of the merging hospitals.

With preparations nearing completion, the merged healthcare providers will operate under the name LA-Regio Kliniken from January 1, 2026. The new entity aims to be a lighthouse of expertise, offering positive prospects for both patients and employees.
