Mural appreciation praised by Citizens' Association
The Bürger Verein Heckinghausen, led by Gerhard Dabringhausen, is hosting a welcome event for the new murals in the district. The event, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 5 PM, will be held on the parking lot in front of House Lenneper Straße 28, where the second mural has been on display since early July.
The third mural, based on Pina Bausch's piece "The Window Cleaner," was created at Ackerstraße 18. The artist behind this captivating piece is Caratoes, a talented artist from Hong Kong.
The first mural, titled "King of Nothing," was created at House Bockmühle 9 by the Polish artist Bezt. The creators of the second mural are the Dutch duo Studio Giftig, consisting of Niels van Swaemen and Kaspar van Leek.
Valentina Manojlov, the director of the Urban Art Space Wuppertal street art project, will be in attendance at the event. She will provide insights into the meaning and significance of the murals, as well as share details about the urban art project and the series "Pina Bausch Gallery" for which the third mural was created.
