Neglected Garden Transformed in Two Weeks, Reveals Historic Millstones
A once-neglected garden in Urberach has undergone a remarkable transformation in just two weeks, thanks to the efforts of four municipal workers. The garden, now redesigned with extensive paving work and proper rainwater drainage, has revealed two old millstones and holds potential for future use as a beer garden.
Operations Manager Thorsten Heberer planned the garden's redesign, which included the discovery of the historic millstones. The team, comprising Omar El-Malki, Markus Schröder, Nehat Xini, and Hames Kaludra, completed the work swiftly and efficiently. Mayor Jörg Rotter commended their performance, highlighting the garden's potential as a beer garden, reminiscent of its past use decades ago. The city now plans to utilise the redesigned space for cultural events in the future.
The garden's transformation, completed in just two weeks, has opened up exciting possibilities. While the future of the garden as a beer garden remains uncertain, with no specific information about the "Bayerischer Stuben" ownership or rental plans, the city's intention to host cultural festivals in the redesigned space is clear.
