📰 MedLife Crushes 2024, Reaches RON 2.76 Billion in Pro forma Consolidated Turnover 🇷🇴 💲

MedLife (BVB: M), the leading player in Romania's private healthcare sector, has smashed its way to a monumental achievement. The company's Pro forma consolidated turnover shot up to an astounding RON 2.76 billion (€555 million) in 2024, marking a 25% increase compared to 2023.

Maximizing Progress with Prudence

While the financial growth was impressive, the company exhibited caution in 2024, considering the rise in debt and the decline in profit at the end of 2023. Despite this, MedLife successfully lowered its debt and gradually reclaimed its profit margins.

Ramping up Organic Projects

Although the pace of acquisitions slowed in 2024 (five in total compared to previous years), the Group accelerated its progress in organic projects. MedLife opened no less than three new hospital units, edging closer to becoming the top provider of hospital services in Bucharest and nationwide.

Innovating in Cutting-edge Medicine

In 2024, MedLife recorded numerous breakthroughs in advanced medicine. One of its major achievements was integrating AI into its application for interpreting laboratory results. The company also took the helm in genetics and molecular biology, leading precision imaging with its 40 MRIs, 30 CTs, and 80 more pieces of equipment like X-rays, mammograms, and osteodensitometers, distributed across the nation. Soon, these advanced imaging tools will become part of the first research program of a private Romanian company.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Caution Meets ambition

Optimism and caution govern MedLife's plans for 2025. Mihai Marcu, President and CEO of MedLife Group, promises the company will continue its development projects while remaining vigilant towards potential acquisition opportunities.

Emphasis on Corporate Healthcare Segment

2025 is set to be a year of growth for MedLife in the corporate healthcare segment, with a keen focus on offering innovative, unique, and productivity-enhancing products. The Group aims to cater to employers' needs and foster a healthy and motivated workforce in challenging economic times.

Expansion and Modernization Across Romania

In addition to targeting the corporate sector, MedLife plans to expand its existing infrastructure across Romania. Strategic projects initiated late in 2024, including the development of a new radiotherapy center in the northeast, investments in mental health and fitness units in Bucharest and the country, and the expansion of hyperclinics, are on track to be completed in 2025.

Moving Forward: Geographic Expansion and Technological Innovation

To bolster its growth, MedLife plans to make strategic acquisitions and ventures beyond Romania's borders, with the acquisition of a majority stake in All Clinic in the Republic of Moldova as a testament to the company's intent to expand beyond its home market. MedLife will continue investing in modern technology, blending innovations like surgical robots, AI, drones, and automation into its healthcare services, setting itself apart as a pioneer in the tech-driven healthcare sector.
