Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, the Page8 hotel has recently unveiled a new addition to its offerings - Bisushima, a Japanese rooftop restaurant and bar.

Founded by Chef and Restaurateur, Sergey Men, and his business partner Ruslav Ugarov, Bisushima is a creation of individuals with extensive experience in the kitchen industry. With backgrounds in kitchen design, manufacturing, and culinary expertise, they have crafted a unique dining experience that promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.

The main contractors for the fit out were Davies Daniel, and the restaurant occupies the sixth floor, boasting a total area of 6,000 square feet. The setting combines nods to nature with plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the restaurant, offering breathtaking views of Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden.

Bisushima aims to be a transitional space, with the atmosphere changing depending on the time of day. In the morning, it serves an authentic, healthy, and balanced Japanese breakfast. Sergey has developed a signature style for modern Japanese food using high-quality produce. Highlights on the menu include Pork Tonkatsu, Japanese Omelette, Butterflied Seabream, a range of the chef's signature selection of Sashimi, Maki, Nigiri, Donburi, and the luxury variety of Black Caviar.

As the day progresses, Bisushima transforms into an evening haven, offering delicious, authentic sushi and modern dishes with a Japanese essence. The menu changes seasonally and promises to have only the highest quality fish and meat. Examples of drinks on the menu are Palmer Brut NV Champagne, Kamoizumi Nigori Ginjo Summer Snow Unfiltered, Sichida 75 Junmai Yamadanishiki, Omotenashi, Mono No Aware, and Kuyashii.

The interiors of Bisushima are designed with the concept of Shinrin-yoku (nature therapy) in mind, aiming to create a sanctuary in the city. This philosophy is reflected in the fundamental principles of Japanese philosophy, creating harmony between guests, environment, and food.

With a capacity to accommodate over 190 covers, Bisushima is one of the largest rooftop venues in the area. The evening atmosphere is described as being when the restaurant will truly be alive and humming with excitement. Whether you're looking for a morning pick-me-up or an evening of exquisite dining, Bisushima promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.

In addition to the restaurant, Bisushima also offers a separate bar area and two large external roof terraces, providing the perfect setting for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap under the stars.

Bisushima is set to become a staple in Covent Garden's vibrant dining scene, offering a unique and authentic Japanese dining experience like no other. So, whether you're a local or a visitor, be sure to pay a visit to Bisushima and immerse yourself in the harmony of Japanese cuisine, environment, and hospitality.
