Pupils from Kepler, associates in a town partnered with Pforzheim
Two students from the 1st grade of the basic course French at Kepler-Gymnasium Pforzheim recently had a unique educational experience as they participated in the 31st Dictée de St. Maur dictation competition.
Held in St. Maur-des-Fossés, the partner city of Pforzheim, the competition took place on November 18, 2023. French-speaking students from St. Maur and two students each from partner cities were allowed to participate.
The students were accommodated in St. Maur for the duration of the competition and associated events. For the two students from Pforzheim, a French host family graciously offered them a place to stay.
The competition was a challenging test of their French orthography and grammar skills, as they were required to write down an unknown French text dictated to them. Although they did not win, they had a valuable experience and gained insights into French culture and language.
