Polkadot, the blockchain platform that unites transformative apps and blockchains, has announced the launch of a new initiative: the Builders Program. This program, a collaboration between Velocity Labs and several partners, aims to support the development of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications on Polkadot Hub.
The Builders Program is designed to cater to developers at various stages, from those with polished products to those with innovative ideas. It offers a comprehensive support system, including funding, technical and product support, liquidity bootstrapping, hiring and team building, security resources, visibility, community access, and education.
Applications for the program are now being accepted and will remain open until 3 October 2025. The first cohort of the program will consist of only 5 teams, each selected to receive a suite of benefits tailored to their specific needs.
Teams working across various areas, including lending markets, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), perpetual protocols, yield platforms, real-world asset tokenization, cross-chain infrastructure, payment rails, and onboarding solutions, are encouraged to apply.
In addition to financial support, participating teams will have access to technical mentorship from Polkadot core developers, guidance on tokenomics, product design, scaling strategies, and architecture reviews. They will also benefit from office hours with Velocity Labs, subsidized smart contract audits, partnerships with bug bounty platforms, connections to the Polkadot Assurance Legion, and protocol-specific Hypernative monitoring to help safeguard protocols from day one.
Moreover, the program offers developer bootcamps, hackathons, and scholarships through the Polkadot Blockchain Academy to upskill teams building on Polkadot Hub. Participating teams will also receive dedicated marketing and PR support, conference exposure, strategic AMAs, and promotional campaigns across official Polkadot channels.
